The design of the Magotteaux vertical impact crusher opens up new possibilities in the production of grit and crushed sand. Like the stationary version, the Mag’Impact® system is suitable for the production of classified high-grade chippings. Both abrasive hard rock and limestone and gravel can be added for the production of crushed sand. The proven technology of the international market and technology leader Magotteaux ensures not only a perfect degree of crushing but also an ideal cubic particle shape. Among other things, this allows aggregates to be produced for high-quality concrete and asphalt products. The 2100 version of the Magotteaux vertical crusher allows a maximum feed size of 80 mm. Throughput rates of around 120 – 150 t/h have been achieved in extended test cycles in the track-mounted Prall-Tec PTM2100 Mag’Impact version.
From quartz round gravel to crushed basalt, the test plant has successfully proven itself in practical use with a wide variety of materials and met all specifications. Efficient recycling of track ballast is also part of the targeted spectrum of plant technology. But even this does not exhaust the possible applications of the system. The Prall-Tec PTM2100 Mag’Impact® is also suitable for processing asphalt recycling, whereby material containing tar can also be fed in. The crusher’s easily replaceable centrifugal and impact plates in the crushing chamber are a great advantage here, and also minimize maintenance requirements.
