Anyone working in C&D recycling knows the problem: not everything that ends up in the crusher can actually be crushed. Concrete rubble, masonry and rebar regularly hide massive foreign objects that are barely visible before feeding.
A recent example from the field is a foreign object about 400 mm in size and weighing roughly 150 kg. Our stationary PT130/130 impact crusher handled it without damage and without downtime.
The secret lies in the design:
As a result, foreign objects with an edge length of up to 500 mm can pass through the impact crusher without damage under most operating conditions.
In recycling, what matters is not only crushing performance, but also how much a machine can withstand when the unexpected happens. That is why we consistently design and build our impact crushers in Lengerich, Germany, for robustness and operational reliability.
